‘SYMPHONY’ Caixaforum

The 1st ESO students have visited Caixaforum to enjoy a unique musical experience: being part of an orchestra through the aid of advanced science and Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

The project is called ‘SYMPHONY’. It is presented as a journey into the heart of music, created by artistic director Igor Cortadellas and the world renowned orchestra conductor Gustavo Dudamel, together with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The first part of this experience consists of a projection of a heart touching video, showing how the soundscape from different parts of the world becomes music. The second part provides an immersive breathtaking experience, using a VR headset. Suddenly, we became part of an orchestra on the Liceu Opera Theatre stage, visited a luthier’s atelier and flew into a violin sound box.

It was really exciting and we really enjoyed it!
